This property is privately owned. Campers accept camping privileges with the understanding that they hereby release the Campground, its officers and employees of all liabilities for loss or damage to property and injury to their person arising out of their use of its camping facilities, and agree to indemnify the Campground, its officers and employees, against claims resulting from loss or damage to property or injury to the person of any member of the family or guest of the registered camper(s) arising out of the use of its camping facilities.
Annual fees: Annual fees allow year-round possession and access to your campsite from January 1 to December 31 for 2 adults with dependent children (or grandchildren) under 21. A $500 deposit is due Septmber 15 before the start of the year. The remainder is due the following March 15.
Visitors and guest: Visitors and guests must register at the office upon entering the park. Day-visitors are required to leave by 11:00 p.m. or register as overnight guests. Please, no more than 10 persons staying overnight per campsite. Visitor and guest passes are only valid when the registered camper(s) is (are) also present. If you want to lend your campsite in your absence, regular transient camping fees will apply.
Services: Water, public washrooms, showers, laundry and docking facilities are available Victoria Day weekend to Thanksgiving Day. Regular hydro is available May 1 to October 31. Winter hydro from November 1 to April 30 is available for an additional fee. Please do not access electrical panels without permission. Advise staff or office of any problems. After hours, see owners at site 1 or alternate at site 66.
Children: Use playground, beach and swimming areas and docks at your own risk. These areas are not supervised. Young children MUST be accompanied and supervised at all times.
Bicycles: Motorists, watch for children on bicycles, adhere to speed limits. Be prepared to slow down or stop for bicycles and pedestrians. Parents, inform your children to be careful on park roads and to pull over when vehicles are approaching. No biking in the dark.
Pets: All pets must be kept under control and on a leash not exceeding 6 feet (2 metres) at all time. Pets are not allowed in the swimming area, beach, playground, washrooms, or office. Your pets can swim in the water near the docks and boat launch. Constantly barking dogs are not permitted. Please clean up after your pets.
Noise: Be considerate. Keep noise to a reasonable level. Quiet time is 11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m., midnight on Saturday to 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. Radios, music, loud voices, lawnmowers, weed whackers, power tools, etc, are not allowed during these times. Generators are not allowed between May 15 and Thanksgiving Day.
Campsites: Only one recreational vehicle (any camping accommodations on wheels) and up 2 tents are allowed per campsite. No part of your recreational vehicle or tents may be within 1.25 metres (4 feet) from your campsite’s borders or from the road’s edge.
Vehicle parking: Camping fees include parking for two vehicles. Additional fees mayl apply for extra vehicles. Park your vehicle(s) on your own campsite, unless permitted otherwise. Do not park on vacant campsites or on the road, other than for short periods, to load or unload your vehicle for example. Your visitor(s) may park on your campsite if there is enough space. Visitors may also park in designated parking areas.
Boat/trailer parking: Campers may park their boats and/or trailers (including utility trailers) on their campsite provided there is enough space. For safety as well as aesthetic reasons, park your boat and/or trailer as far as possible at the back of your site. No part of the boat, motor or trailer may be closer than 2 metres (6 feet) to the road. Starting 2010, parking fees will apply when boat and/or trailers are parked anywhere in the campground.
Off-road vehicles: Dirt bikes, smaller motorcycles, ATV’S (except those used by management and staff), mini bikes, etc., are not permitted within the park. Golf carts are allowed, but drivers must be at least 16 years old.
Lights: Do not use any outside decorative lights other than LED or solar lights.
Tidiness: Please keep campground facilities clean, including washrooms and showers, recreation centres, lots, beach and playground. Keep all buildings and structures as well as fences, hedges and general landscaping on your campsite well maintained at all times.
Dumping Station: Do not dump trailer sewage waste between 8am and 10am, 12 and 2pm, and 5pm and 7pm. Note that sewage waste is not allowed to go into the ground. Pump-out services are available once a week on Saturday between 10am and noon.
Garbage Disposal: Dispose of your garbage in sealed, clear plastic bags and deposit them in the large blue garbage bin located at the back of the park. Do not leave excess garbage outside of the garbage bin. It is an eye sore and attracts pests.
Recycling: Place your recyclable waste in the appropriate bins in the recycling shed beside the garbage bin. Only dispose of items with the official recycling logo. Items that are not recyclable include Styrofoam, milk and juice box containers, plastic bags, and any items without the official recycling logo.
Dump: Do not drop off any large junk items, such as old BBQ’s, propane tanks, patio stones, discarded building materials, furniture, fridges, bicycles, etc. You are responsible for the disposal and expense of these items. Bring them to the dump yourself, or for a nominal fee, we will pick them up from your lot and bring them to the dump for you. Check with the campground office for details and/or dump location and hours of operation.
Hazardous Materials: Do not dispose of any environmentally hazardous materials (old paint, fuel, batteries, etc.). Bring them to your local hazardous materials disposal site.
Marina: Speed limit in harbour and marina is 5km. Do not make wakes when arriving to or departing the harbour and marina. Anyone causing wakes may be barred from further use of the harbour and marina.
Improvements: Any improvements, such as decks, sleep camps, sheds, landscaping, embankments, driveways, etc., or renovations or changes to existing improvements must be approved by management in writing beforehand, and the cost of such improvement or renovations or changes are the campers’ responsibility.
Construction: Starting in 2010, construction projects and the use of power tools and chainsaws will not be allowed July and August.
Building permits: In accordance with municipal by-laws, any new structure of any kind, whether enclosed or not, that is over 100 ft2 in area requires a building permit. See campground office for details.
Decks: New decks (either open or closed-in) are allowed, but are limited in size to the floor area of the recreational vehicle to which it is attached.
Structures: No more than one sleep camp and one storage shed are allowed on your campsite. Sleep camps are limited to 100 ft2 or less in area. Storage sheds are limited to 25 ft2 or less in area. Any and all parts of any structure may not be closer than 1.25 metres (4 feet) to your campsite boundary or the road’s edge.
Fences: Any new fence or changes to existing fence must be approved beforehand. For safety as well as aesthetic reasons, fences cannot exceed 4 feet tall along the sides and back, and 2 feet tall along roadways.
Hedges: Any new hedge or changes to existing hedge must be approved beforehand. For safety as well as for aesthetic reasons, hedges cannot exceed 4 feet tall, except when located at the back and sides and at a safe distance from the roadway’s edge, where they can be taller.
Municipal taxes: Campers are responsible for municipal taxes payable by Idyll Glen, when applicable, based on the value of their camper and additions/buildings. The latest value was assessed by MPAC in 2003. The values are in park records and available for your review.
Storage: Annual campers may store personal items on their campsite during the period November 1 to April 30. Such other personal items must be removed before May 1.
Vacating the Park: Annual campers must inform management when vacating their campsite. Clean your campsite before leaving. Those wishing to sell their RV must make it known to the office. The owners of Idyll Glen reserve the right to refuse any person and/or party in the campground. Any campers or guests may be evicted if not complying with these rules and regulations.
Reimbursements: Permanent campers who vacate their campsite or who are evicted with just cause may be charged the transient camping fees for 2 weeks or for the period from May 1 to date of departure, whichever is more. If the departing camper has already paid permanent camping annual fees, the difference, if any, will be reimbursed.
